The Toyota IST is a compact Japanese hatchback celebrated for its solid build quality, punchy performance, and confident road stance. Unlike smaller micro-compacts, the IST features a wider track, firm suspension, and responsive steering that make it feel exceptionally grounded both at highway speeds and on twisty coastal roads.
If you are looking for a reliable, easy-to-park vehicle for a couple or solo traveler with ice-cold air conditioning and the legendary mechanical durability of Toyota, the IST is an outstanding candidate.
Equipped with Toyota’s proven 1.3L / 1.5L VVT-i engine, the IST achieves approximately 13–16 km/L on highway journeys and 10–12 km/L in local traffic.
The Toyota IST is available under our verified Automatic Car Rental Sri Lanka fleet and our full islandwide Rental Vehicle Fleet. Offered for self-drive, airport transfers, and chauffeur-driven tours across Sri Lanka.
